8 By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going. 9 By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise; 10 for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God. 11 By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised.
As we begin this new month I am reminded of this journey of faith we began as new believer's in Christ Jesus. Where we were challenged to walk by faith and not by our natural senses in this spiritual walk. God know's that we are comprised of a body, soul and spirit, and that the flesh with its natural senses cries out for attention all the time. Yet, with the inward call of the Spirit within, He desires to direct us to take hold of His Word by faith. Taking hold of the sword of the spirit in one hand and the shield of faith in the other. Then with faith in Him, listening to the inward call in our spirit man. He sets us free to answer the call of God, to fulfill the will of God for our live's.
As He challenges you just like He did Abraham to a walk of faith and obedience. We here at Focus Bible College are here for you to assist you in taking hold of His Vision for your life, with a strong foundation of faith ( working knowledge ) of His Word, enabling you to accomplish the call of God. With that in mind, remember that the faculty and staff here are here for your spiritual and educational needs. For we wish you to be equipped for life, ministry and all that God has for you in now.
In an effort to continue to expand and bless our FBC family. I want you to know that we are going to hopefully add at least three new courses to the curriculum base in the new calendar year. First will be for those endeavoring a Bachelor's Degree in Theology, as we will be adding a new Homiletics and Biblical Preaching course. Next, we will start initiating a PHD program which Doctoral graduates can undertake. With two or more courses beginning with one on Reimaging The Church, concerning organic Christianity in reference to the early church. As well, Church Administration, Creating Efficiency in Ministry. We are excited about the ability to be able to offer a PHD program in the upcoming year, and hope you will be become a part of that adventure of faith in the year to come.
These new courses are only in their infancy of development, but as we at FBC work with our elders at FGRMC. I know we are going to have a well balanced approach in expanding and refining the Bible College in the days to come.
Thank you for your love and support of FBC. Please keep in contact and remember the ministry in your prayers.
In His Grace,
Dr. Patrick Vossen
